by TomHill » Wed Dec 21, 2016 11:09 am

Tried this last night:
1. Jaffurs PetiteSirah ThompsonVnyd/SantaBarbaraCnty (Archibald Cuvee; 14.8%; SantaBarbara 2015: Black color; very intense blueberry/blackberry/PS/boysenberry/huge fruit bit licorice/peppery light toasty/oak/smokey almost milk of magnesia beautiful PS nose; soft very rich/lush huge fruit/boysenberry/blackberry/PS/light peppery light toasty/smokey/oak flavor w/ ample ripe/hard tannins; very long/lingering boysenberry/blackberry/PS/huge fruit light peppery/earthy light toasty/smokey/oak finish w/ loads of ripe/hard tannins; should go out at least 10 yrs; another blockbuster Jaffurs PS. $38.50 (SFW&S)
A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This btl is of the rare ArchibaldCuvee, available only in LosAlamos. Don't look for it at your local CostCo.
This is another in a long line of impressive PS's from Jaffurs. They seem to be able to extract more fruit in their PS than most other producers. One of the greatest PS's being produced in Calif.
