1996 Littorai Pinot Noir - One Acre

• 1996 Littorai Pinot Noir One Acre - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (12/26/2016)
  Cork was in perfect shape. The wine still had lively color. At the start, the aromatics were dynamite. Strawberries, cherries and pomegranates. Showcasing fresh qualities rather than aged. As the evening went on the aromas became a little muddled. The front palate started out fresh and clean but the finish was a bit bitter. Tasty fruit but finishes quick. Still enjoyable but past its prime. (88 pts.)

Yeah it was one of those, "I never got around to drinking" wines so I decided to let it hit 20 years. I am going to go grab my 2002 Littorais and check them out.

Interesting that it held up even that well! Sure wouldn't expect that of many California pinots, let alone from a year like 96.
