Another wine from Gus Anderson, I first thought this bottle a bit corked. It eventually blew off to reveal a wine full of sweet and sour cherries and a definite note of sage. The corked note came, I believe, from the mold on the label which is abundant on all my bottles stored at my off-site, a very cold but also very humid cellar owned by a friend. There are even salamanders crawling around on the walls! In any event this bottle could use another 5 years or so to fully resolve the tannins. Quite enjoyable once the mustiness was identified and the bottle was removed from the table. A nice match to venison meat loaf mixed with a little Italian sausage. abv of 14.2%
