2015 Division Winemaking Company Chenin Blanc Savant Willard Farms - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Yakima Valley (2/25/2017)
This was my first experience with Division Winemaking Company, and I was favorably impressed. I am not a huge Chenin fan, especially US Chenin, but this had good palate presence, and quite a bit of complexity for such a young wine. Typical Chenin flavors were accented with some honey and spice elements, apparently (from notes I later checked on the winery site) from a bit of botrytis influence. Supposedly a dry wine, I would put this close to the demi-sec level, but the subtle sweetness married well with the flavor mix.
