1999 Domaine du Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (4/25/2017)Everything you could want in a properly aged Chateauneuf du Pape is in this wine. Old leather, rosemary, turned earth and the classic kirsch aroma all dance and swirl to create a clear sign of Pegau. There's still notable tannin, so no rush, but what a wonderful bottle of wine!
Note: original release.

I found this wine very drinkable on release and went thru a case in the mid-2000's. Wish I had more patience. Still have some 98's and 2000 &2001's
