Got this from a PR firm
Wanted to share some fun news with you about a wine club, Nocking Point, started by actor Stephen Amell (Arrow) and his business partner Andrew Harding. Beginning this month, the wine club will be available to residents of the UK
Nocking Point seem to specialise is selling Washington State wines under their own label
https://nockingpointwines.com
I've not heard of them, not surprising if they're only available via their wine club in the USA.
WA State wines don't have a high profile here as few are available.
I've also not heard of the people involved or the TV show 'Arrow' - seems it's on Sky1 satellite channel in UK
So, to buy these unknown (in the UK) wines involves committing to paying
"£99 & £20 delivery + VAT " so thats £142.80 a quarter, or £571.20 annually to get 12 bottles annually of wine someone else has chosen plus some Nocking Point coffee and some marketing merchandise.
Given that I'm happy with the coffee I already get, and that I don't want to were a Green Arrow t-shirt of baseball hat, these wines would have to be pretty darned good to be worth over £45 a bottle. each.
Anyone in the club? Tasted Nocking Point?
