WTN: 2006 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne

2006 Taittinger Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne - France, Champagne (5/30/2017)
Early days for this, and it is coiled up tight. There's good depth, but it's not giving a lot of pleasure right now. We even left a glass or so in the bottle for the next day, and it had barely budged. Give this one time. It certainly seems to have the density to develop for a good long while.

I bought two of these and found the first one somewhat disappointing at an offline in Greensboro. Most reviews on CellarTracker have been quite glowing. Maybe if I hold onto the second bottle for three or more years, I will be rewarded.

Um. David, I was commenting on the Taittinger, not the Riesling.

Yep...got my threads mixed up.

I don't think the Champagne is disappointing (for me). It feels like it needs a lot of time. 5-10 years.
