Notes from CellarTracker:
2013 Domaine de la Pepiere (Marc Olivier) Muscadet de Sevre-et-Maine Clisson, Loire Valley, France.
Labeled as 12% abv. The gold color has a slightly greenish tint. Very acidic. I liked it better on the second night when it seemed to settle down a bit.
2015 Bieler Pere & Fils Cuvee Sabine Rose' Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, France.
Labeled as 13% abv. 40% Grenache; 25% Syrah; 25% Cabernet Sauvignon; 7% Cinsault; 3% Rolle. Pale peach color in the glass. Strawberry fruit and herbal notes. Refreshing if a bit tart. Not in the running for favorite rose' of the summer.
2012 Cowan Cellars Pinot Noir Anderson Valley, CA.
13.6% abv. Purchased after a tasting with the Cowans at their facility in 2015. Dark purple color, dense and opaque. Quite aromatic. Dark cherries and berries on the palate with a bit of smoke and earth. It is somewhat tart but enjoyable. I preferred it at a slightly chilled temperature. It was balanced and invited repeated sips. I had it one night with corned beef hash and poached egg and another night with breaded chicken and macaroni and cheese. I have two more bottles.
