Robert Sinskey

It had been quite a while since I checked out Sinskey, and I had enjoyed some of their pinots during the past year, so my friend and I stopped in yesterday.

I quite enjoyed our visit on Sunday! The complex is stunning in a showy "Visit Napa Valley" way but very much befitting their emphasis on organic and biodynamic winemaking.

Our server gave us a lovely melon-y savory Pinot Blanc , two quite lovely Pinots that were definitely the earthy side. The Bordeaux wines were also old school.

Enthusiastic server, nice environment, and solid wines!

Always appreciated their wines, and their facility is indeed beautiful. But the last time I stopped in (years ago, maybe ten) I was totally turned off. They had a pretty steep tasting fee and didn't apply a cent of it toward purchases. We left. Have they changed their policy?
