WTN: My Last Try on Dry Scheurebe

by Jim Grow » Mon Jun 26, 2017 8:11 pm

2015 Muller Catoir Haardt Trocken Scheurebe: since no predicate level noted I guess this is a QBA. In any event it seems I prefer sweet Scheurebe ( Auslese. Ba, Eiswein) as this one again had a dominant grassy/cat pee character. I'll give the remaining bottles, (one of each) to my neighbor down the road. good acidity and extract seems a little higher with more grapefruit to combat the grass, so finished the bottle but would not buy again. abv of 12%

QbA is a term that is no longer is use. Dry Scheurebe is a particular beast. It does not make a lot of friends.
