WTN: basic Gros

Domaine Anne-Françoise Gros 2015 Bourgogne-Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Young, flatteringly ripe, bright, and a little crunchy, with rich cranberry and cherry fruit and the barest touch of barrel. This is tasty, forthright, basic Burgundy, and the sort of thing I'd buy in quantity if it were under $25; but it's too flat -- I mean, too lacking in the elements that make Pinot seductive to me -- to be competitive at $34.
