WTN: 2005 Fourrier Chambolle Musigny

by David M. Bueker » Sun Jul 02, 2017 8:00 pm

2005 Domaine Fourrier Chambolle-Musigny Vieille Vigne - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny (7/2/2017)
Continuing with my 2005 Burgundy check in, this is beautiful right now. It still shows bright cherry fruit, and has a captivating spicy overtone of cinnamon and nutmeg. Smooth on the palate, it adds a mid-palate richness that belies a relatively lightweight entry. It's a touch short on the finish, but the level of deliciousness makes that a small complaint. Drink now if you want to, but no fear in holding for a few more years.

Good to hear. I don't have this wine, but have been waiting for an excuse to drink some 2005 Burgundies.
