Brought by others: Copain Chardonnay (rich but bracing and savory), Rombauer Sauvignon Blanc (very New Zealandesque in its pungent character)
Donkey and Goat "Stone Crusher" 2015 Rousanne El Dorado County "Orange Wine". Mixed reviews. Some found it too weird.

Broc Cellars "Vine Star" Zinfandel 2015 Sonoma Valley. Black cherry and black pepper and touch of earthy funk. Remains one of my favorite zinfandels, and this was my wine of the night. Delicious summer wine. Not too hot (13.5% abv) either.
Bella Terra Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 Russian River Valley. A favorite for some. Touch of pyrazines. Interesting candied note on finish that was not there in the last bottle. I liked, but the Broc Zin won me over tonight.
Michel Schlumberger "Deux Terre" Bordeaux Blend. Whatever happened to this lovely winery? Their alcohol levels ramped up a good percentage point (this clocked in at 15.4%) and their new wine maker is really going for the jammy style. Massive wine, with tons of fruit, but there was still a sense of earthiness, so not entirely without merit. But the last few bottles from this winery confirm for me they have gone big. Which may work for them. There were several friends for which this style is right up their alley.
I dropped their wine club a while ago....it is not really my style at all anymore, if it ever was.
