WTN: 2015 Mönchhof Kab

by Patchen Markell » Sun Jul 16, 2017 4:52 pm

Mönchhof / Robert Eymael 2015 Mosel Riesling Kabinett, Ürzig[er] Würzgarten. 8.5%. Broad, ripe, and breezy on the palate, with a mix of slightly tropical fruit, red cherry, fruit-skin, and minerals. This is pleasant and flavorful in a sort of obvious way, as if Roy Lichtenstein had painted a big comic-book "RRRIESLING!!!" with a no. 24 brush -- but for $16, and since I'm going to pit it against a spicy Ma Po Tofu tonight, I think it's just the thing.
cheers, Patchen
