I have 300-500 or more corks I would like to get rid of if someone has a use for them. I'll bring them to MoCool if someone there want them or knows of someone else that would like them.
I made a bulletin board out of some one time, Jim, back in the Dark Ages. They do collect, though, and I've always wondered if there's any really truly good use for them.
I've seen people cut them in half vertically and glue the fat sides to the back of their wine cellar door. Some notional additional insulation, plus an interesting thing for a guest to the cellar to peruse.
Another friend has an indoor planter that she uses the corks to mulch. Looks interesting, although I've told her that I think she has a bit too mulch in there...
My last batch of corks I gave to a neighbor lady who has horses. She made a framed picture with the corks cut vertically of a horse head. When I saw it I commented on her artistic abilities but asked what that black plastic cork was doing in the middle. "You idiot, that is his eye!"
