Tried this last night w/ my tomato/basil/candied bacon salad:
1. OjaiVnyd PinotNoir ClosPepeVnyd/SantaRitaHills (14%; www.OjaiVineyard.com) Oakview 2000: Med.color w/ slight browning; strong rather smoky/toasty/oak/bit Burgundian/pungent some black cherry/PN quite complex nose; quite tart/tangy strong black cherry/PN/black cherry cola strong toasty/pungent/Fr.oak bit peppery/cold-climate fairlt complex flavor w/ light bit brittle/drying tannins; very long strong toasty/pencilly/charred/Fr.oak some PN/black cherry cola complex finish w/ some hard/rough/drying tannins; still plenty of PN fruit but starting to dry a bit on the palate; quite an interesting fully mature PN.
