Had these two last night w/ my tomatoes:
1. Viallet SavoieBlanc Ad'OP: Vin de Savoie (Jacquere??; 11.5%; vins-viallet.com/en/) Maison Philippe Viallet/Apremont 2016: Light yellow color; rather stony/mineral/earthy light mango/pineapple/spicy quite attractive nose; quite tart/tangy/steely/metallic some stony/earthy/mineral/chalky very light mango/pineapple rather quiet/low-key flavor; med.long quite tangy/tart/metallic/steely rather mineral/earthy/chalky fairly vibrant/electric/zippy slight mango finish; quite a mineral-driven pleasant Jacquere at a very good price. $12.00 (DiVino)

2. Dom.Vetriccie IGP: Ile de Beaute (12%; 50% Vermentinu/Chard) Aghioue/EasternCorsica 2016: Light yellow color; rather fragrant Verm/floral some melony/Chard very light pencilly/oak slight earthy/herbal/figgy interesting perfumed nose; rather tangy/tart fairly earthy bit tangy/metallic light floral/Verm/honeysuckle some rich/melony/mango flavor; long quite tart/tangy/mineral/earthy/metallic/steely light floral/mango/melony/Verm/honeysuckle somewhat lightweight/bracing rather attractive finish; lots of fragrant Vermentino character and little of the coarse earthiness often found in Corsican whites; quite a pretty white at a very attractive price. $14.00 (TheC/Taos)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Both of these are new producers to me. I was quite taken by both as very good QPR whites.
The Vetriccie was one I found at TheCellar in Taos. This is a new wine shop that's been open about a month. BillEaston suggested a few weeks ago that I ought to check. So, on my way back from Denver/Boulder, I stopped in. It's not a big store, but very intelligently selected. Saw lots of new things I'd not seen before. Focus is on OldWorld but a nice selection of domestic as well. And a nice selection of Spirits/Amaros. Just glanced at craft beers and saw a lot of interesting things there as well. Well worth a stop when you're in Taos.
