Deep golden colour, lightly brown. Nose shows botrytis, mushrooms, petrol, flowers. Complex, some evolvement. Fullbodied and sweet auslese in the mouth. Complex and concentrated fruit, mushroomy, botrytised, some petrol and fine floweryness. A bit fat and sugary yet. Needs to loose some. With the sheer power it is more reminding me of Rheingau. The structure though is typical Mosel with a leichtigkeit and fine acidity making a great backbone. A very good riesling, but not exactly the most elegant Mosel-wine. Give it 5 more years. Will last.

Not many wines from the Pralat ever strike me as typical Mosel. The site is so unusually warm that it always has that extra dollop of ripeness/richness that smacks of a Rhine wine to me.

The mushroom note is worrisome.
