Pewsey Vale The Contours Riesling 2011

For a long time I used to answer Freddy Emile when people asked me about my favourite Riesling QPR. That is history now, the king is dead. What Luisa Rose delivers year in and year out for a mere 27 USD is amazing. A contest between the lime and brioche notes of bottle age and the acidity of this gorgeous micro climate Eden Valley slope. Take a look now or leave them for further development. Will deliver pleasure for at least ten more years! Buy if you can find!

I agree, this is a great QPR, very dry reisling that ages well.

I'm sorry to mention that the price you suggest is about double what you would pay here in Canada or the US for the wine (if you are talking about the current release rather than the museum release option). It is rare for prices here to be lower - I know the feeling of living in a country where wine prices are crazy!

You are talking about their standard Riesling, that one can be had for 13 USD. The Contours which only is released after five years bottle age is roughly the same price in the US as it is here in Sweden. (And at the estate!)

The cheaper wine is also worthy of mentioning, absolutely!
