Low alcohol Zinfandel

by John Treder » Sat Sep 23, 2017 7:57 pm

I went over to Joseph Swan this morning to pick up my quarterly fix, (er, that is, wine club shipment) and found out they have some Mancini Ranch (1920s vines) Zinfandel available. It's 12.9% alcohol.

Cool. The low alcohol zin is one reason I joined (need to drive up there myself!)

Chris Brockway (Broc Cellars) makes a very low alcohol zin from Sonoma Valley fruit. And there is a tiny urban winery (in the old Camelia Avenue space) with a Amador zin in the low 13%-LUSU CELLARS. Both very bright, almost spritzy wines.
