The French tend to be rather provincial about wine (don't see much Bordeaux in Burgundy etc.) but are apparently united in their skeptical outlook on foreign things - wine and other products. Thought this historic photo summed it up

I love the expressions on their faces. First guy: mildly skeptical. Second guy: oh yeah, that's my drink. Third guy: very concerned. Fourth guy: deeply suspicious.

Amusing pics :D which just about express my own opinion of Coca-Cola. They were of course already a caricature in the 50s from which they probably date. Coca-Cola has become very popular like everywhere else.

I can't remember when I last saw someone wearing a beret in France :( . Baseball caps are much more the thing nowadays. I have one bearing the words "Make America Great Again" but I'm a bit shy about wearing it outside my garden.

Coke does have some valuable attributes. I can leave a rusty bolt in it overnight and it comes out clean in the morning....
