On the rec of a friend, I tried ystrday:
1. LomaNegra GranRiserve 63% Roussanne/37% Marsanne DO: ColchaguaVlly/Chile (13.5%; www.LFWines.com; L160217) Luis Felipe Edwards/Nancagua/Chile 2015: Pale gold color; lots of bubbles when poured by no signs of being refreshed; very attractive fragrant pineapple/mango light honeysuckle/Rouss light spicy/nutmeg light earthy nose; bit soft light floral/pineapple/mango very light Rouss/honeysuckle/spicy somewhat sour/earthy somewhat flat flavor; short floral/mango soft/flat light Rouss/honeysuckle fairly sour/earthy finish; a pleasant/decent bit flat/one-dimensional Rhone blend and worth every bit of $10.00; reminds more of a cheap Calif Viog than anything; has a nice fragrance but not much on the palate. $10.00 (TJ)

1. You don't see much in the way of white Rhone varieties planted in SouthAmerica, so I was eager to try this. It delivered about what I expected. Better than many of the $10.00 TJ's bargins.
I seldom browse the SouthAmerica section in TJ's. I am not very fond of those wines and seldom find one that floats my boat. The reds have a coarse sourness that I find unappealing. Not to mention little bright fruit and a ton of oak. The whites often show a similar coarseness. Generally not my cup of tea. I would not buy this wine again.
