WTN: Hugel are you

2014 Hugel Gewurztraminer Classic - France, Alsace (10/12/2017)
Gratis BTG pour at the Intercontinental in Singapore, and I would happily have payed for the pleasure. Rose and lychee made the grape obvious, and the mostly dry palate conveyed the flavors through the mid-palate and finish. A really pleasant glass of wine.

Which is usually my reaction to Hugel. And I'd be happy to be offered Hugel BTG, even if paying. But I did think it a bit much this week when I got a retailer email entitled "Famille Hugel, the benchmark for excellence in Alsace!"
Usually good and dependable, but not my benchmark for excellence.
