WTN: Helios / Corison

Helios (Corison) 2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Worrisomely acetic nose at first pour, but then comes to life. Smooth, ripe currant and raspberry fruit on a bright spine, with a note of cedar. Lovely combination of silken fruit and propulsive acidity. Tannins seem pretty well resolved; indeed, the finish is a little too untethered to stay focused. So, very good now, but also some signs that it's not going to go a long time. I'll drink the other bottle within 3-5.
cheers, Patchen

Never had the Helios Cab. Worth the tariff?

I don't regret buying a couple of bottles of this, but as a regular thing? No, not really.
cheers, Patchen
