I was away last weekend and I'm just catching up on email. Haven't read through the whole thread on the wildfires. Did see in an email form a bed and breakfast in Sonoma County where I have stayed that Willi's Wine Bar was burned to the ground. I never made it there. The bed and breakfast had some of the wildfire evacuees and their pets staying with them. They said Russian River Valley was mostly untouched.

Yes, Willi's Wine Bar was among the fire losses. Also about 2000 homes in Santa Rosa alone. Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley are mostly untouched. Some fire damage in Alexander Valley and Sonoma Valley. Napa County was hit harder in terms of winery problems.

Has the smoke cleared in your area, John?

I can't say it has cleared, but it isn't nearly as thick. Each day gets a bit better since last weekend. I live only a couple of miles from where Willi's was.
