Tried these two over the weekend:
1. Matthiasson NapaVlly WW (12.9%; 50% SauvBlanc/25% RibollaGialla/20% Semillon/5% Friulano; pH: 3.29; TA: 0.635; 1270 cs) Napa 2015: Light gold color; somewhat fragrant melony/floral/SB (Musque?) spicy light earthy/mineral/stony very attractive nose; rather tart/tangy/metallic/grapefruity melony/SB/floral/carnations bit herbal/waxy light earthy/stony/chalky/mineral some steely flavor; very long/lingering ripe/melony/SB/floral/spicy some earthy/mineral/chalky/perfumed talc finish; a rather elegant SB much like some of the very good Friuli SB's; lots of floral character that suggests SauvignonMusque; speaks strongly of SauvBlanc but not w/ an obnoxious voice. $40.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. SteveMatthiasson likes to make his wines ('cept the Cabernet) w/ a nod to Friuli. I thought this WhiteBlend was a very good resemblance to a good Friuli SB.
