Tried this last night w/ my salad:
1. WindGap CheninBlanc NorthCoast (12.5%; Frmtd: Concrete/SS/neutral Fr.oak; Aged: neutral Fr.oak & concrete
for 10 mo.; OldVines; 9 brls/300 cs; www.WindGapWines.com) Sebastapol 2015
: Med.light gold color; strong pear/apple/quince/CB some stony/mineral/chalky fairly fragrant very attractive CB nose; quite tart/tangy/grapefruity/steely somewhat chalky/mineral/saline/metallic bright/vibrant/floral/CB/pear/quince slight earthy flavor; very long quite tart/tangy/metallic/chalky/stony some floral/pear/CB finish; a tart/savory very attractive expression of CB; nothing profound by good drinking. $25.00

I freely admit that I do not get the appeal of Chenin Blanc from California. Granted I am not the biggest fan of Chenin, but just the same.
