Tried this last night w/ my salad:
1. Ryme Aglianico Rose GianelliVnyd/TuolumneCnty (11.8%; www.RymeCellars.com) 2017: Light cranberry/garnet/slight orange color; very bright/fragrant cranberry/watermelon/fruity/juicy bit earthy/dusty slight herbal/sage nose w/ no tutti-fruti character; quite tart/tangy/acid/brisk slight steely/metallic strong fragrant/cranberry/watermelon/juicy slight earthy/herbal/sage/musky lovely flavor; very long/lingering strong juicy/cranberry/watermelon/spicy/cinamon quite tart/steely/metallic bit herbal/sage finish; a fresh/bright/zippy acidity w/o being screechy; this is how the Peyrauds would make rose in TuolumneCnty if they could; an absolute tangy/brisk/refreshing/juicy rose w/o straying into tutti-fruti territory. $25.00

1. I wasn't aware that Ryan & Megan were getting Aglianico out of TuolumneCnty. They make an outstanding red Aglianico from LunaMattaVnyd in PasoRobles. But this rose was one of the best I've had over the last year. It quite literally pirouettes across the palate in a very refreshing way.
