Vino Rosso!

A good, mid-range bet at 12-1, starting from Post Position 18 of 20. Put him in an exacta box with Magnum Moon, 6-1, PP16, and how could you go wrong?

True by conventional wisdom, although the Derby is particularly unpredictable thanks to the size of the field, the overall high quality of the horses, and the craziness of the day with 160,000 people all roaring. Statistically, though, of course you're right. But Vino Rosso!
