WTN: 1995 Corison

by Patchen Markell » Mon May 14, 2018 9:14 pm

We only joined the Corison club a couple of years ago, so when a bottle of 1995 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon turned up for sale, I figured: let’s try it. Seems in good condition, bright ruby, showing sweet red currant and some dill at first, but after an hour of air, opens up into ripe black currant, a little mint, fennel, and bitter/sweet cocoa, with a beautiful, fine texture. Very high-toned. Wish I’d decanted an hour or two in advance, because this seemed to have room to grow.
cheers, Patchen

NIce. Like their old school style, but only have a few bottles of her wine.
