WTN: 05 ESJ Wylie-Fenaughty - Thank you Steve!

by Rahsaan » Sun Aug 05, 2018 12:49 pm

My last bottle of this and it was a great one. Gorgeous seamless silky ripe plums with floral top notes and nice definition. The typical ESJ winning combination of sunny CA fruit and fresh firm focused detail.

Much better than the previous bottle from this spring, which had less clarity to the fruit, more of a leathery texture, and less depth. But hey, we can't always present the same face to the world, and I'm happy it went out on this showing.

Thanks so much to Steve for producing this wine!

And thankfully I still have a good collection of 05 Bassetti, so I won't forget this vintage just yet.
