Wanted a red last night, so cracked:
1. Gang of Six Plus Three Mourvedre SumuKawVnyd/ElDorado ("Every Citizen Makes an Equal Effort, Crushing Grapes to Become a Hero") SanFrancisco 2015: Med.color; very fragrant plummy/Mourv/spicy/bit cinammon bit floral/lilacs light earthy/ElD/slight mushroomy light toasty/oak/smokey very attractive nose; lightly tart/tangy very spicy/bright/plummy/Mourv light floral/lilacs bit earthy/ElD/mushroomy very attractive almost Pinotish flavor w/ light gentle tannins; very long very spicy/Mourv/plummy/slight black cherry/almost Pinotish light smokey/oak/pencilly bit ElD/earthy/mushroomy balanced/gentle/J.AlfredPrufrock-like quite attractive finish w/ light gentle tannins; reminds a bit of a lighter Holly'sHill Mourv; quite a perfumed almost delicate/Pinotish expression of ElD Mourv; ready to drink and will go another several yrs. $nc (KZ)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. When I look at this label, for some reason Mao TseTung pops into my mind. I'm sure he'd approve of this wine for the Proletariat. My palate is, of course, way more sophisticated to drink a mere proletarian wine!!
This btl was given to me by KenZinns, who was a member of this Gang of Six, plus Three. Not quite sure who the other proletariats are. I believe this was made at Brian Harrington's wnry. Source is from David & Shiela Bush's vnyd in the FairPlay area. But a very pretty/unusual rendition of Mourv that avoids the oafish character that grape can sometimes show.
