WTN: Finca Flichman Expresiones Reserve Shiraz-Cabernet 2004

Mendoza. A 60-40 blend.

Decanted about an hour before consuming.

Very dark purple, bordering on black, in the glass.

Chocolate and spices on the nose.

Rich, thick and full in the mouth, fleshy black cherry, earthy, coaco. A little firm and hard, with slightly grainy tannins toward the end.

Lots of spice and chocolate on the finish.

Will benefit greatly, I believe, from short term (12 month) cellaring.

Amazing value at $15.95 (Canadian).

If you like the Flichman style, you should try the Dedicado. Its their flagship blend.

Thanks for the advice Alejandro. I did a quick search and our government-run liquor stores don't seem to carry that. Will keep an eye out for it in future.

All this Finca Flichman talk has me pulling out my `06 Oak-aged Malbec for a minus 20 degrees BBQ tonite!
