750Daily: New Directions in WashState Wine...

by TomHill » Mon Oct 15, 2018 12:32 pm

As linked in WineTerroirist, JacksonRohrbaugh in 750Daily:
NewDirections/WashStateWine
has a nicely done article in new directions being taken in the WashState wine industry. It's an article that'd make JonBonne proud.
New varieties, new vnyd practices, skin-contact whites and "natural" wines...it's all there and warms the cockles of my heart. Good read. Wish the wines were more available.

Thanks for the pointer, Tom. An interesting read. I hope that among the new trends is less use of oak. Many winemakers in Washington State use far too much of it, IMO. Oak should be a seasoning, never a sauce.
