Tried this wine from my recent PrimaIlConsorzio shipment:
1. LesPolissons AC: Malbec de Cahors (13.5%; www.ClosDaudhuy.Fr; Winewise/Benecia; 30 yr old vines) Benoit Aymard/Clos d'Audyuy/LaChapellaCababac NV (2016?): Very dark/near black color; very strong plummy/pomengranate/bit herbal/Malbec some earthy/dusty/OV light oak bit rustic nose; soft some earthy/dusty/OV/rustic very strong Malbec/pomengranate/plummy/some chocolaty rather hard/tannic flavor; very long some earthy/dusty/bit loamy rough/coarse/rustic some Malbec/chocolaty/pomengranate finish w/ modest rough/coarse tannins; a rather rough/rustic Cahors that needs age but ??; well priced at $14.38 (PrimaIlC)

1. A legendary "black wine of Cahors". It was advertised as a soft/open wine to be drunk young. I thought it was pretty hard & tannic on the palate. Needs age but not sure where it will go.
