2015 Idlewild The Bird Red - USA, California, North Coast, Mendocino County (2/3/2019)
Served with pizza for the Super Bowl, this was its usual perfect partner for the pie. Moving into its fourth year the texture got a little softer, making it even easier to drink. A blend of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, it remains my go-to wine for pizza, and a fine value.
