Ryme RibollaGialla VareVnyd/NapaVlly (13.1%) 2009: Med.amber slight reddish color; fairly strong orangey/bit honeyed some graham cracker/granola very light phenolic/resiny rather quiet/low-key complex attractive nose; fairly tart rather honeyed/orangey/graham cracker light earthy/herbal/white pepper very light resiny/skin-contact/phenolic fairly complex flavor w/ very light tannic bite; very long/lingering very light phenolic/resiny rather graham cracker/orangey/bit honeyed light earthy/herbal/spicy/white pepper rather quiet/low-key finish w/ very light tannic bite; lost a lot of its phenolic character and turned into a rather charming/interesting/savory/saline kind of white w/ light RG character. $32.00

The wine has really evolved nicely on the palate and lost a lot of the hard/phenolic character. Skin-contact whites can often be like that; hard/astringent on the palate and needing some age. Nine yrs has done nicely on this wine.
