Shiraz--- Syrah

by Glenn Mackles » Sat Mar 09, 2019 1:56 pm

Two excellent expressions of the same grape this week. D'Arenberg The Dead Arm 2015....very spicy, could perhaps sat for a couple years longer but the liveliness of the wine was great...lots of cherries. And then later in the week Duclaux Cote Rotie La Germine 2009...still spicy but raspberries predominate. Both recommended if you like that sort of thing.

I love both! Dead Arm's one of those amazing wines that seems age forever but taste good, and be ready, every day of its life--neat trick.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
