2009 Kruger-Rumpf Münsterer Rheinberg Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Nahe (5/16/2019)Ten years from the vintage, and this is still fresh as a daisy. The brightness is pleasingly prominent for a 2009, a vintage I always thought of as having a lot of baby fat on top of its spine. There's plenty of peachy fruit, and the finish has good persistence and freshness. It's drinking well now if you want a youthful Kabinett. Given the depth I think this one can go for longer term aging to see what develops.
