2011 Edmunds St. John Syrah Fenaughty - USA, California, Sierra Foothills, El Dorado County (9/21/2020)I am sitting by a smoky campfire, after a long ride into the backcountry. Leather and earth scents are everywhere, and the smell of roasted meat rises up from near the fire. There’s a berry cobbler simmering in a cast iron dutch oven, and a cool breeze floats through the trees. Peace.

Like.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

You had me with the cobbler. I should make a peach/strawberry cobbler before the fresh strawberries disappear from the grocery shelves.

Opened another bottle tonight, and it’s still backcountry evening fire magic.
