WTN: Celebration Champagne

by Jim Grow » Sun Nov 08, 2020 12:55 pm

Last nite with preliminary election results declared, I opened a 2005 Bollinger La Grande Annee with a simple meal of baked chicken thighs and butternut squash. An excellent Champagne with lots of fizz, a medium+ deep straw color and abundant poached and spicy pear flavors. There was a nice note of fresh baked bread and fine acidity I have a few more so will see what 20 years does to another one. Twenty years is my favorite age for high quality Champagne.
