No recent experience, but about four years ago I found it adequate but no better. I think that Cantenac-Brown have been making pretty nice stuff for the relatively cheap price for a 3rd growth since the 1996 vintage, but I haven't been impressed by the earlier ones. If it's very cheap, I would buy it, as it was so tannic that I'm sure it will have not only survived but possibly become better also.
I don't drink wine because of religious reasons ... only for other reasons.

Thanks, Otto, just what I needed. Or what a friend of mine needed, I was actually asking on someone else's behalf. Based on Parker's initial review of the '89, "adequate but not better" is about what this wine should be by now. He used words like "affable...easy to drink...soft easygoing fruit...soft finish."
