WTN: Borgogno NoName Nebbiolo Langhe '16..(short/boring)

We opened James' Christmas gift a week early:
1. Borgogno NoName Dd'OC: Langhe Nebbiolo (14%; EthicaWines/Stamford; L24420LN) Giacomo Borgogno/Barolo 2016: Med.color; very fragrant/floral/somewhat lilacs rather unusual aromatics for Nebb quite perfumed nose; lightly tart rather rich/lush forward/round/drinkable strong floral/Nebb/violets lovely flavor w/ light smooth/gentle tannins; very long/lingering lush/rich/smooth strong floral/Nebb/lilacs lightly tart lush finish w/ light smooth bit bitey tannins; a lovely unusual rendition of Nebb that is very forward & drinkable & speaks of a different facet/character of Nebb; a rather pretty expression of Nebb that probably won't improve much.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The NoName is a Barolo the Borgogno folks make as a protest every year to the shenanigans of the Barolo authorities s as after a Barolo sample was rejected for being "atypical". It may be legally Barolo but it is certainly atypical. It is very drinkable & forward which is certainly atypical of a Barolo this young. A rather pretty expression of Nebb.
