- 2015 Bucklin Ancient Field Blend Old Hill Ranch - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (3/22/2022)
Double decanted an hour before dinner, this brought the lush, but also kept its form. Ripe berry fruit, Zin spice, warm herbs and a penetrating, minty finish puts this in a nice spot right now. The tannins are in balance with the fruit, and while it no doubt can age further there is no need. Like a number of 2015 Zin-based blends, it’s in a good place.
