The hotel I normally stayed at had the full range of Gobelsburg wines on their list at US retail or sometimes even lower than US retail prices. I lost count of the bottles of Gobelsburg I tried over there, as the Gruners and the Rieslings were all amazingly food friendly. That's where my love for the Gruner Veltliner Renner bottling was cemented. Whenever there was a veggie or fish dish I wanted on the menu and I was puzzling over the pairing I would order the Renner. Never cost me more than $35 US for a bottle during all the years I was going there.
