In my corner of the map, we often tend to opt for a locally made white wine, particularly a Chardonnay when we feel like one. That is because there is a lot of good chard made around here and it tends to be less expensive than respectable French examples.

I still do buy French whites though, as I enjoy them. This wine is made by a farmer in the Meursault region who also raises his own vines.

If you see it, give it a try. I like it.

Note from a friend (I was just enjoying the wine, not taking notes):

"Clear light yellow. Very bright lemon, fresh rain, light smoke, talc and mineral nose. Rich lemon curd and green apple flavours and a slightly rich dry finish."
