A bit of an oddball - made from only one of the authorized varietals in Chianti. I wondered how it had held up and it came through - a complex nose with an interesting black currant and cherry nose, plus some cocoa and spice notes, it was full bodied and tasty, showing an elegant medium length finish.

My last bottle - should have cellared more!

Which grape?

Never had that variety before! That would be an extremely hard call at a blind tasting!

Yes - likely impossible.

Jenise could have been familiar with the varietal (she keeps coming up with American wines I've never heard of!) - Bonny Doon makes one!

Never heard of the wine, didn't know grape (and I thought I knew the minor Chianti grapes). Interesting, thanks
