This is my first try at a Deutschlandian "Gewurz". Quite a nice first impression actually! Great fumey floral/spicy nose followed by a palate that speaks of lychee, rose water, clove, white pepper, nutmeg, and slightly anise-esce. Great acidity to balance this slightly off dry style. Finishes clean and refreshing. It would probably be safe to guess that this is a typical German Gewurz epitome. A very good example of varietal distinction! However, I'm still not sure if I could handle Gewurz as an everyday sipper like I could a Riesling or NZ Sauv.B. Just a preferential thing I'm sure. I'm not really one for "spice" in my whites. Other than that I still give this one a thumbs up.
