WTN: The Legend of Zeltinger

• 2004 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (7/12/2024)
  Two years on from my prior bottle, and while this one had a slightly dodgy cork it was still completely in the zone. Perhaps a touch more advanced than I might have expected, but in no way past its best, just cruising along the maturity plateau. There was more grilled pineapple and dripping-ripe peach in this one, but it still had a freshness to the fruit on the finish alongside deep saltiness and a dash of light cream. Big for Spätlese, but finished with no heaviness, just haunting notes of fruit and cream.

Nice notes. Know I'm supposed to have some 2004 SO Zeltinger, but according to CT not this one- have 1 oe 2 bottles of Schlossberg Riesling Auslese *, Schlossberg Spatlese, Sonnenuhr Kabinett
