It's almost time for the annual German auctions! I was looking to pick up some 2021s. My favorite shop, Dee Vine Wines, is not participating this year. Does anyone plan to participate? Or know a shop that will put in bids on behalf of ordinary consumers?

yes, my understanding is that 2024 auctions would be 2023 vintage.
I know in past Vom Boden has offered auction access to customers.

The vast majority of 2021s are long gone from the auctions. There may be a few late releases, but those usually go for even more exorbitant prices than the "regular" auction wines.
Decisions are made by those who show up
